David Lisch | Custom "Ranch Hand" Fix Blade

David Lisch | Custom "Ranch Hand" Fix Blade

The Ranch Hand is intended to be used, as the name entails. A rugged brute de forge finish, a reverse museum fit handle and mammoth ivory make this knife as rugged as it looks.

Description

David Lisch has spent most of his life working metal — as a fabricator, a blacksmith, a knife maker, and an artist. An ABS Mastersmith, he and his wife Andrea, herself a knife maker, run a school in Yelm, Washington, teaching the next generation of smiths the same techniques he's spent decades refining.

That lifetime shows in the blade. "Damascus is in my blood," Lisch says. "Stacking and resizing, forging and manipulating the patterns so that each billet is one of a kind, and each knife is a unique piece of art and a fully functioning tool." The Ranch Hand carries his signature 1080/15N20 Damascus, forged into a tight, directional pattern built as much for hard use as for the eye. The handle is natural stag — dense, weathered, and unrepeatable — fitted to a blade shape made for real work: skinning, field dressing, ranch chores, camp tasks.

Sourced directly from Lisch by our custom knife buying team at Blade Show 2026, this knife arrives with a protective zippered pouch and a simple leather sheath — ready for the belt or the display case.
